清平乐
金风细细，
叶叶梧桐坠。
绿酒初尝人易醉，
一枕小窗浓睡。
紫薇朱槿花残,
斜阳却照栏杆。
双燕欲归时节，
银屏昨夜微寒。
As golden winds were blowing soft and fine,
Parasol leaves fall, piece after piece.
I get tipsy easily with the green wine,
And by the window fall asleep at ease.
Lagerstroemia and rose mallow, no longer prime
As the setting sun shines on the railing.
Swallows in pair, homecoming time,
The silver screen last night was a bit chilling.

【简析】
　　初秋的风，细细地吹过，梧桐树，叶叶飘落，多情善感的词人，已有一缕惊秋的感觉。绿酒新酿熟了，浅尝辄醉，便在小轩窗下酣然入睡。一枕浓睡醒来，已是夕阳西下。一抹斜阳里，紫薇、朱槿，都已凋残。花残的意象，连接上片梧桐叶坠的。愁的色彩若隐若显。已进了秋季。梁上的双燕，就要南归了。念及此，词人顿觉昨夜醉眠时，床头的银屏已透出微寒，一比单寒落寞的心情，油然而生。
As the early autumn breezes blow across, parasol leaves fall, piece after piece. The sensitive poet has already felt the coolness of the fall. The green wine is just done brewing, and of which, right after a little taste the poet starts to get drunk. Lagerstroemia and rose mallow have faded away in a sunset. The situation of flowers having withered away is connected with the first stanza which refers to the falling leaves of parasol trees. The disappearing and reappearing of the melancholy colors hint that autumn has arrived. The swallows in pair resting on the ceiling are getting ready to fly home in the south. Just thinking of this straight away reminds the poet that last night, as he got drunk and fell into sleep, his pillow was a bit chill, and he started to be surrounded by the lonely feelings all of a sudden.
