Dance drama is a new type of performing art in China. In the late 1980s，Chinese dance drama became quite active. Many works of excellence ,such as Siluhuayu, a large-scale dance drama which reflects the friendship of China with other countries in the Tang Dynasty, appeared. In addition, the ballet, which was introduced to China in the 1950s, is also developing quickly. Several Chinese ballet dancers have won prizes in international ballet competitions.
