The Chinese word is highly flexible. It can be condensed, blended, extended ,protracted, expanded, converted, reversed and shifted. There is a lot of poetic license, making poetry not only easy but also interesting to write. While both the Chinese word and sentence lack overt formal features. There is tremendous freedom in making phrases and sentences. Semantic relations are much more important than syntactic markers and connectors.
