The Tang Dynasty was a time of unprecedented developmentpolitical, economic, and culturalfor the Chinese feudal society, and the porcelain industry was no exception. During this period, China began to export porcelain to foreign markets. Different porcelain kilns producing various styles appeared，such as the Yue Kiln of Yuezhou (present-day Neiqiu， Hebei Province). The practice of naming kilns after their locations lasted into the Song, Yuan, and succeeding dynasties.
